Benin Food Packs Distribution

Benin is a country located in West Africa. It was a former French colony and gained its independence in 1960. In the country where French is the official language, the majority of the population is Christian. About 27% are Muslims.

It is a low-income and food-scarce country with an estimated population of 11.2 million and predominantly rural areas. In 2018, it ranked 163rd among 189 countries according to the human development index. Like other African countries, Benin is trying to cope with many problems. Approximately ten percent of the population cannot reach food, and an average of thirty-two percent of children under the age of 5 have developmental delay due to food insufficiency.

Our team in Benin carries out our projects by identifying the needs of the people of the region. Last week, we distributed food parcels to a hundred families in a rural area. Our team went through long and difficult ways to reach the village people and delivered your relics.

As in other African countries, our projects will continue at full speed in Benin. We will continue to work with our teams with all our strength to implement food, water and all other needed projects.

IHCRO Didn’t Leave Pakistan Alone

Last week, Pakistan was rocked by a great disaster. The whole world mobilized for the disaster, in which more than 1000 people lost their lives, many injured and hundreds of buildings became unusable, and tried to deliver aid in order to be a balm for those affected by the flood disaster in Pakistan.

The monsoon rains, which are effective in the region, continue to threaten life in the region and hinder food and other basic needs. These monsoons and the recent flooding event affected more people than ever before. According to the figures stated, the number of people affected has exceeded thirty million.

The International Human Care and Relief Organization teams arrived in the region, determined the needs of the citizens affected by the flood and started to deliver humanitarian aid by hand.

In this context, we distributed our food packs to those in need in the first place. With approximately two hundred food parcels distributed, those in need have reached basic nutrients. These distribution took place in the Rajanpur, Punjab area.

Afterwards, we distributed tents for Pakistanis who were displaced from their homes. The needy people who lost their homes or could not use them for a certain period of time benefited from the tents we distributed about fifty.

Finally, we delivered hot meals and clean water. Those in need who took shelter in madrasahs, mosques and schools were able to fill their bellies with our hot meal distributions, since they had limited access to food.

All CountriesZakat

Ramadan 2022 Zakah

It is one of the prayers that should be performed for Muslims who have opportunities. Your zakat is delivered to poor families who need it the most. It is our first priority to bring your zakat to families by identifying the needy families who are living outside the war zone within the limits specified by our belief and with a sense of responsibility.

IHCRO has a policy called 100% zakat policy. This means your zakat reaches the poor in full , alhamdulillah. Furthermore, all donations that are given as zakat and the sadaqah that are directed to help orphans, poor and sick families are admin fee-free. We give this support in cash form to the hand of the poor. All our Zakat is allocated as monetary assistance to the poor because this is the best way to utilize zakat to put in the hands of the poor and they spend it the way they feel best.

We don’t put zakat in any projects. We are running on the bare minimum, asking Allah to accept our efforts and yours. We deliver zakat to more than 30 countries such as Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan, Palestine, Madagascar, Bangladesh and many more. May Allah accept all our good deeds and yours.

In this Ramadan, inshaAllah we will keep doing what we do, and we will increase our work to reach more families with your support inshaAllah. As the Prophet (s.a.w.) said: “He whose two days are equal, is a loser.” we always strive to help more people than we did yesterday.

All CountriesRamadan

Ramadan!

Ramadan is the most important month for Muslims. It is the month when we fast and try to understand each other, help each other and show tolerance.

Most people’s tables are full of food during Ramadan but there are millions of people in the world who do not have the same opportunities. While some cannot find food, some cannot even reach clean water. Although this situation is not unique to the month of Ramadan, at least during Ramadan, a Muslim’s “stomach shouldn’t be filled while the neighbor to his side goes hungry”. People should look for ways to help all people around them, starting with their neighbors.

Can you imagine walking miles just for clean water? It is stated that 2 billion people in the world do not have access to clean water. What about food? Today, millions of people are hungry and we cannot even imagine it. We can’t even think of going hungry for a day or even a meal. But there are people who experiences all these and we have to take responsibility in this situation.

IHCRO establishes Ramadan Cuisine all over the world and distributes iftar to the needy every day during the month of Ramadan. Thanks to those iftars, people can have food at least in Ramadan.

You can also be a part of these aids and feed a person.

Our New School in Yemen in Progress

Our new school in Yemen is coming up wonderfully. In the Hudaida province, in an area where school is at the most dire need, IHCRO is building this new 4 classroom school.

Many years of conflicts destroyed Yemen and especially children have been affected. School infrastructure has been collapsed. Many school has been destroyed. Children are not able to go to school for their future, for all of our future. It is one of the most important issue to solve the poverty. Therefore, education has to be protected.

In many countries, we are building schools to give opportunity to the children for equal rights. We know that they are the future of our world and if they are well developed, they can end the poverty.

We have built over 10 schools until now in Yemen and aiming at 20 soon.

BeninOrphan Projects

Orphan Home #60 Completed !

The 60th orphan home that we continued to build within the scope of one hundred orphan houses we started in the last month of Saban and Ramadan have been completed in Benin. A project that transforms from poverty, homelessness, mud or tree branches into warm homes…

According to the Department for International Development, Benin was hardest hit out of the 1.6 million people in Africa who experienced the consequences of the severe rains.

In 2010, when more than 680,000 people were compelled to abandon their homes due to severe floods brought on by torrential rainfall, demands for humanitarian relief to Benin increased once more. Many people may suffer terrible and long-lasting repercussions from the loss of their houses, cattle, clothing, agricultural equipment, and seeds.

As an organization, we continue our humanitarian aid activities in Benin, as in all of Africa. Since orphans are always our priority, we included the country of Benin in our orphan homes project and we continue to complete our homes here as well.

It is a pleasure to see another orphan family with smiling faces. We will try to quickly complete the remaining forty orphan homes. God bless those who contributed.

1300 Meals Delivered To Poor Children in Pakistan

While our work in Pakistan continues rapidly, we continue to work on new projects. In addition to various aids in Pakistan, which we focused on with the flood disaster in the past months, we distributed hot meals to 1,300 children. Let alone meat, these children hardly have access to a normal meal they can eat in daily life.

Pakistan has the second-largest economy in South Asia, but its growth has been constrained by inequality, poverty, conflict, and insufficient access to fundamental social services. Due to the nation’s susceptibility to frequent climate shocks like floods and droughts, millions of people are at risk of becoming hungry and are in need of humanitarian aid. Millions of Afghan refugees have also taken refuge in Pakistan.

According to the 2022 Global Hunger Index, Pakistan ranks ninety-ninth out of one hundred and twenty-one countries. In a country of two hundred and seven million people, about twenty percent of the population is malnourished. Forty-four percent of children younger than five years of age experience developmental delay. Malnutrition is caused by the economic problems in the region.

Keep supporting us. Together, let’s deliver food to many more needy people. We have the power to fight hunger. Let’s share our food with our brothers.

PakistanWater Wells

Solar-Powered Deep Weel in Pakistan Completed

Another solar-powered deep well in Pakistan has been completed!

Pakistan has been facing water scarcity for many years. More than 80% of Pakistanis, according to a survey released this year by the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), experience “severe water scarcity” for at least one month each year. According to the report, Pakistan is ranked 14th out of the top 17 nations with “very high water-risk” status.

This well will provide clean water to hundreds of families in this village. Our UK representative Farhan Shah was in this village a few months ago and witnessed first-hand how families would travel far distances to source water. This has brought immense ease and joy to their lives.

We continue to dig water wells in many countries. For ongoing sadaqa projects, you can always get in touch with us.

Our Quran School Opened in Niger

“عن عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه قال: قل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: خَيرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ القُرْآنَ و عَلَّمَهُ“

“As reported by Osman ibn Affan (r.a), the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: The best of you is the one who learns the Qur’an and teaches It.”

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said that the best people are those who learn to read the Qur’an, memorize it, try to understand its meaning, then teach others what they have learned and encourage people to live according to the Qur’an.

As IHCRO, we attach importance to Quran school projects all over the world and continue to complete our Quran schools. Our Sheikh Khalis Quran school was opened in Niamey, Niger, and the representatives of our Australia and UK branches personally attended the opening. They examined our project on site and opened it. In addition, the regional minister of national education and the governor attended our opening. Discussions were held on the importance of such projects for the future of the country, and we hope to continue working for our Quran schools in this direction.

Our children in the region were learning the Qur’an in a classroom made of hut straw, but now they will have a better opportunity in this school that we have opened for them. May Allah increase their numbers.

Şifa’s Cochlear Implant Completed

We met Şifa, our three-year-old Syrian refugee daughter, two months ago. She was born deaf and had to have a cochlear implant due to her illness, she. Şifa’s family, like many families, could not afford this surgery, as the costs of such surgeries were very high.

Cochlear implant surgery is generally applied to patients who cannot benefit from hearing aids, but who have severe hearing loss in both ears. Congenital or acquired severe or very advanced hearing loss can be treated with this application. These surgically applied tools allow people to hear sounds even if they have completely lost their hearing.

Şifa’s cochlear implant and equipment were covered by our donors, and after two months of doctor visits, her surgery was completed. Our daughter, who was born deaf, started to hear her first voices after a few checks and the insertion of her device. Now, when her mother or father calls, everything will be different for Şifa. We, as IHCRO, sent Şifa and her family to her home with the happiness of being able to touch one more of our daughters.
