Pakistan was already
struggling as a nation
Pakistan
Pakistan has the 5th biggest population in the world and 2nd biggest Muslim population.
40% of the country is living below the poverty line, with child labour rampant across the entire country and water scarcity increasing year by year. For these reasons Pakistan was already struggling as a nation and the recent floods in 2022 have only compounded these issues. Millions were impacted due to the floods, thousands died and many lost their homes, businesses, and others means of earning a living.
NEED Charity has started strong this year with our projects in Pakistan. Focusing on self-sustaining projects as a priority, such as empowering men and women to allow them to work and also digging wells hundreds of feet deep with solar-powered pumps. We have also provided food packs, and hot meals to poor children and provided solar panels to those without any power or electricity at all. NEED Charity has also continued our support of orphans in Pakistan, delivering sponsorships, providing clothing, and building homes.
When the flood crisis hit, NEED Charity was one of the first charities on the ground responding in 4 different states (Balochistan, Sindh, Punjab, and K.P.K) providing food, tent, water, and hot meals. NEED Charity (with the help of Allah) will continue these and many more projects in Pakistan, helping those in need.
