Kenya, one of the largest economies in Africa with a population of approximately 54 million, is also an important country in terms of its geostrategic location. Despite this positive picture, one third of the people in the country live below the poverty line and the average annual income per capita is approximately 2,000 dollars.
Only 30.1% of the population in the country can benefit from fully equipped health services. Diarrhea, hepatitis, typhoid fever, malaria, fever and rabies are among the most common diseases in the country. The number of people with HIV virus is higher than the African continent in general and is around 1.6 million.
As NEED Charity, we have opened water wells so that our brothers living in Kenya can reach clean water and we continue to do so. Since education after primary school is paid and very expensive in Kenya, we provide support with education projects. In addition, masjid and orphanage projects have been completed in the country and we continue to build new ones. With the support we provided to madrasahs, we provided and continue to provide cash and food support to the students of the Qur’an.
